RESILIENCE: A NEW WAY OF BEING
Resilience is key to the next act of humanity's survival and well-being. Resilience means understanding that natural and social systems form, grow, fall apart, and reorganize, and that - at critical moments - there are opportunities to influence these processes to increase the well-being of both people and Nature. Resilience requires drawing on the fullness of science and human creativity and spirit, working in harmony with each other and all of Nature.
No one has all the answers, but human creativity engaged in an ethic of love and compassion for all people and all life, can find opportunity even in the darkest times.
OUR RESILIENCE ETHIC
RESERVOIRS OF RESILIENCE
Resilience resides in four great reservoirs - environmental, economic, social and mind. Increasing resilience requires identifying and working with the sources that feed each. These are:
These sources of environment, economy, society and mind flow together to fill the reservoirs of resilience, such that now, we must think in terms of these reservoirs of resilience filled through personal and global awareness and transformation if we are to survive and prosper.
Only if our mental constructs evolve radically can we cope with the dual threats of sudden change and devastation. Early steps already under way provide evidence of hope. We must connect and extend these early efforts into a global force. The world ahead is a place where no people have been before - yet the journey is universal and timeless. Humans have always sought security in times of uncertainty. Creating reservoirs of resilience is the essential next step and part of the core mission of Silvicon Partners, LLC.
